Yan Hui

顏回 Yán Huí, or 顏淵 Yán Yüān, was Confucius' favorite disciple, famous for his selfless devotion to the cause (e.g. Analects 6.11), whose early death left Confucius distraught (e.g. Analects 11.09). See also Analects 9.11, 11.9, 11.10, 11.11, 11.23, 12.1, etc. In Zhuangzi, he is referred to as Hui in 4:01, 4:02, 6:07, 6:09, 10:04, and 13:09; and as Yüan in 11:04, 11:011, 13:10, 18:01, and 18:06
